His talent for crafting layered, deeply personal narratives was first recognized with Elalini, his student film that won a prestigious Student Academy Award, an honor that placed him on the global stage early in his career. Currently splitting his time between Johannesburg and Los Angeles, Holmes is working on a slate of new film and television ventures, among them the gripping hospital thriller series Clinical and an East Africa set feature film titled This Will Finish Us. YA drama GO! which Tristan co-wrote and directed is set to release globally on Netflix in March this year.
